What is the format of the ballot papers take ?

 

The Central Election Commission has approved the form, text and description of the ballot papers for the elections of the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the local Сouncils (Kengashes).

 

The ballot papers for this year's elections have a completely new form, and the space-saving design of the ballot papers makes it possible to save at least 3 billion soums in printing costs for the ballot papers.

 

In addition, the space-saving nature of the ballots and the printing in different colors can reduce the time of the Precinct Election Commissions in counting votes by at least one hour and nationwide by at least 11,000 hours.

 

On the day of the election, voters receive 4 ballot papers:

 

The first light blue ballot paper contains information about the candidates for the Legislative Chamber;

 

The second light green ballot paper contains the names of the political parties participating in the elections to the Legislative Chamber;

 

The third light yellow ballot paper contains information about the candidates for deputies to the Council (Kengash) of People's Deputies of Tashkent region and Tashkent city;

 

The fourth light grey ballot contains information about the candidates for deputies to district and city Councils (Kengashes) of People's Deputies.

 

The surname, first name and patronymic of candidates for deputies shall be entered on the ballot paper in the order of the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script.

 

The names and symbols of political parties participating in the election of deputies to the Legislative Chamber shall be entered on the ballot paper in the order in which they were admitted to participate in the election

 

The ballot papers are printed and delivered to the polling stations, taking into account the number of voters in the respective territory.
