Article 2
Universal suffrage
Respect for the principle of universal suffrage means the following:
b) the right of a citizen to elect and be elected to public authorities, local self-government bodies, other bodies of people's (national) representation, to elective positions is realized regardless of any restrictions of a discriminatory nature based on gender, language, religion or creed, political or other opinions, national or social origin, belonging to a national minority or ethnic group, property status or other similar circumstances;
