On June 20, 2008, the unification congress of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "National Revival" and the National Democratic Party "Fidokorlar" took place, and on the basis of these two parties, the new Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "National Revival" (UzMTDP) was created.

Members of the Central Council and the Control and Audit Commission of the new party were elected at the congress.

On June 21, 2008, the II Plenum of the Central Council of the UzMTDP was held. Members of the Executive Committee of the Central Council consisting of 21 people were elected at the plenum.

On July 4-16, 2008, unification conferences of the two parties were held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, on the basis of which an organizational group was formed to create a new party.

On August 11, 2008, UzMTDP was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On August 13, 2008, a joint constituent assembly of the factions of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "National Revival" and the National Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Fidokorlar" was held, and a new UzMDP faction was built in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Since September 9, 2008, constituent conferences and plenums of regional party organizations have been held. In particular, constituent conferences and plenums of territorial party organizations of the UzMDP were held in all regions.

They approved the composition of the Council, the Control and Audit Commission, the Executive Committee of the Council, elected the Chairman of the Executive Committee and his deputies. In addition, constituent conferences and plenums of district (city) party organizations were held, the composition of the Council and the Executive Committee of the Council were approved, the chairmen of the Executive Committee were elected.
