RESOLUTION
OF THE CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION
OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
ON APPROVAL OF THE REGULATION ON THE PROCEDURE FOR ACCREDITATION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA DURING THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN
In accordance with the Electoral Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Mass Media”, “On Principles and Guarantees of Freedom of Information”, and in order to ensure impartial coverage of the preparation and conduct of elections, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan hereby decides:
1. To approve Regulation on the procedure for accreditation of representatives of media during the election campaign according to annex.
2. To the International Press Center of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan within a week:
to deliver to the attention of the media the procedure for accreditation for election coverage;
to ensure preparation of certificates of the established sample for representatives of mass media.
3. To regional, district and city election commissions to ensure in due time consideration of appeals of representatives of mass media of regional and district (city) level on accreditation, ensure their accreditation and issue of certificates of the established sample.
4. To publish this resolution on the official website of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
5. To impose control over execution of this resolution on the Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kh.Mamatov.
