On October 27, 2024, an important political event took place in Uzbekistan - elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Councils (Kengashes) of People's Deputies of the regions and the city of Tashkent, as well as the districts and cities. The parliamentary elections, which were held for the first time in the country's history on the basis of a mixed electoral system, were followed with great interest by the international community.

Furthermore, it became clear during the election campaign that the introduction of this system has promoted competition between political parties and the democratization of society. More than 65,000 domestic observers monitored the elections, over 850 foreign and international observers and more than 1,000 representatives of local and foreign media participated in the extensive coverage of this important political event.

On October 28 of this year, the Central Election Commission announced the provisional results of the elections.

On this basis, a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission was held on October 29.

Due to the fact that 74.72% of the registered voters participated in the elections and each of the political parties participating in the elections received more than seven percent of the votes of the voters who participated in these elections, the elections of the deputies for the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on October 27, 2024 in a nationwide constituency are recognized as conducted and valid.

On the basis of the Protocols (Minutes) of the Territorial Election Commissions, in which the votes allocated to the political parties are determined, the issue of determining the results of the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis in a nationwide constituency and the distribution of parliamentary seats among the political parties was also examined.

The Central Election Commission summarized the results of the elections to the Legislative Chamber and the distribution of deputy seats among political parties as follows:

1. In accordance with Article 961 of the Election Code, the electoral quotient was determined by dividing the total number of votes cast for the political parties that received seven percent or more of the votes cast in the election by seventy-five, i.e:

14 946 171 ÷ 75 = 199 282,28

Accordingly, the electoral quotient was set at 199,282 votes.

2. The 75 seats in the Legislative Chamber by nationwide constituency were distributed among political parties as follows:
